Life was so good this week WDYM we got the Persona 4 Remake trailer, Persona 6 teaser ANDDDDD all the new info about the new Overwatch hero. I had KBBQ for dinner yesterday too. Life is so worth living. We are so fucking back.

I was lowkey that one coworker who got an insane tax refund this year because I worked like half of a financial year which meant I was technically overtaxed LOLLL. Most of it will be going to savings because I'm cagey about spending money but I bought myself some IKEA stuff :)

Busy couple of weeks. Changed registrars. Apparently deleted something which was necessary for this site to actually be online. I've learnt my lesson to be way more careful when tooling around with things I don't know much about.

I don't really have much prepared for it this time around, but I'm hoping to put together a subdomain for collating all the fanlistings I'm in/the ones I plan on owning.

I've been thinking a bit lately about how 2020 was such an absolutely bizarre time to be online especially in relation to parasocialism.

Back when I was a teenager on Overwatch League twitter, I wanted to be acknowledged by the pros I was a major fan of and be "known" by other fans (which, looking back, was really silly and clearly a desire stemming from my own teenage insecurities lol). Ever since those people went stir crazy during the pandemic and started going turbo-crazy over people from the Dream SMP, it's just made me realise I want the direct opposite of that acknowledgement. Do not percieve me. Let me be a freak in my little cave all by myself and do not look at me. You do not need to know I exist, thank you.

...I think the only exception to the rule would be an in-person event. Partially because they're very rarely accessible for me (let alone who would be going!) and because I think it'd be nice to have a signed shirt or something lol T__T

I love watching team South Korea in OWWC quals. Like why are they even here. It feels so cruel watching their games because the roster is just pro OW Avengers for Korean pros and they actually dogwalk everyone else in the bracket. (CHOOSING TO IGNORE JUNBIN ON SUPPORT)

It is SO bizarre to admit I have genuinely and wholeheartedly loved Overwatch Esports for nearly 10 years now. Of all things to hang on to from my teenage years it just happens to be grown ass men playing a shooter game and getting a little toxic with it. Maybe I should write a big post about what it all means to me...
